Course Goals & Purposes:
Understanding Tarteel and Tajweed:
Learn the difference between Tarteel and other forms of recitation.
Grasp the importance of Tajweed rules to ensure correct pronunciation of each letter and sound.
Mastering Proper Pronunciation (Makharij al-Huruf):
Focus on the articulation points of Arabic letters.
Develop proficiency in producing the correct sounds from the right points in the mouth and throat.
Applying Basic Tajweed Rules:
Introduction to essential Tajweed rules such as Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa.
Practice the elongation (Madd), stopping signs (Waqf), and other pronunciation rules that influence Tarteel recitation.
Improving Fluency and Rhythm:
Enhance the fluency of recitation by practicing at a slow, measured pace.
Work on rhythm and melody, which are important components of Tarteel.
Developing Confidence in Solo Recitation:
Build confidence in reciting the Qur’an independently, using the correct application of Tajweed and Tarteel principles.
Connecting Emotionally and Spiritually:
Understand the spiritual and emotional aspects of Tarteel, focusing on reciting with mindfulness and devotion.

Course Duration:
Approximate Duration: The course typically takes 3-6 months depending on the student’s pace and prior familiarity with Tajweed rules.
Beginners: 6 months (3 hours per week)
Intermediate learners: 3 months (3 hours per week)
Practice Commitment: Students are encouraged to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily for personal practice to achieve optimal progress.
